Rosé Attributes
With an average annual production of 150 million bottles of rosé, Provence is the No. 1 French region for AOP rosé wines and supplies about 4,2 % of the world’s rosés. Historically specializing in rosé wine-making, Provence is also the only wine region to devote nearly 90 % of its capacity to rosés.

Provence is the first French region for organic and responsible agriculture, with an average 20% of Provençal vineyards while the national average is 9%. Here are a few environmental labels you can find when taking a look at Provence wines.

Terra Vitis
has to do with responsible agriculture, only for viticulture. Allows the use of chemical substances on the vines when it is necessary, in order to insure the vineyards economic profitability.

HVE
High Environmental Value : describes farms/vineyards involved in approaches which are particularly respectful towards the environment.

AB
Organic Agriculture : production process which forbids the use of any synthetic, chemical products or GMO and restricts the use of inputs.

CAB

Already certified AB (organic agriculture), and goes further.Specific biodynamic practices center around three ground principles.
